My new "pet"- lizard

My mother is afraid of all kinds of animals. I like dogs, cats, but she says she can not live together with these pet animals. She says I can have my own dogs, cats when I have my own home.

So I can only have other types of pets, I had spiders, snail, bugs, frogs.

My little frogs with me for one week, (the thing is my mother will not allow me to keep them for more than a week, she always says their mothers miss them, asks me to send them home after one week), I sent my frogs back to the ponds, then I found this lizard.

It is a little lizard, very small, about 3 inches long, it is a good swimmer, and it can come to my hand and eat bread crumbs.

"oh, lizard" my mother almost drops her things when I brought my lizard home.
"I will keep it away from you, promise mother" I quickly said
"Oh, poor little thing, how much will his mother miss him? you, nasty kidnapper" my mother said with frightening tone.

I know my mother is afraid of lizards. There were many times, she screamed from kitchen "Paul, help, there is lizard." I picked up a rubber band and ran to kitchen, with a shot, came down the lizard, and I used a piece of tissue paper picked up lizard and threw it away. My mother is so proud of me. she often says I am better than my father, who seldom can catch any lizard.Gradually, whenever lizard heard my mother screaming, they all run fast away.

So my mother was very hesitate to let me keep this lizard, after a long talking, she finally said "keep your lizard in the box, ALL the Time!"

When my father came home that day, he was so interested in my lizard too. I told him "If you only chase, hunt and kill lizards, you will not enjoy them, actually they are cute creatures."

Do you think my mother will change?
